Renowned area photographer to judge Lake Land College Foundation photo show

Join Lake Land College as it celebrates regional photographers and embraces the theme of “Decadence” at this year’s Lake Land College Foundation 31st Annual Photography Show sponsored by General Electric Mattoon Lamp Plant.

The foundation has had 30 years of successful photography shows that highlight area professionals, amateur and student photographers. The presentation of awards and requested individual critiques for photographs will take place during the reception. The foundation invites the public and all participants to visit www.lakelandcollege.edu/foundation, and enjoy the talent on display from local photographers.

This year’s judge is Rebekah Albaugh, Hoopeston. Albaugh’s love of photograph began during her high school years when she took her first black and white film course, she continued to study the art while attending Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, Ind.

Albaugh started her home-based portrait business, Studio Rebekah Photography, in January 2008. In the two years she has been in business, revenue has increased nearly 700 percent. She is now sought out for her creative eye and unique ability to capture genuine emotion. Her services are on high demand throughout Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.
