Schumacher named new Lake Land College Foundation Board member
Chuck Schumacher, Effingham, was recently appointed to the Lake Land College Foundation Board of Directors.
“I wanted a way to get involved with an organization that has such a positive influence on our local economy and workforce,” said Schumacher. He also expressed that being a part of this institution is important to him because of its impact on the Effingham community.
Schumacher received a bachelor’s degree in science from the University of Notre Dame in 2003, a doctor of dental medicine degree (DMD) from Southern Illinois University school of Dental Medicine in 2007 and a graduate orthodontics certificate from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 2009.
In his free time, Schumacher enjoys boating, water sports, snowboarding, hunting and fishing. He and his wife, Allison, are currently expecting their first child.
The Lake Land College Foundation assists the college in developing and enhancing educational opportunities and services to its students, alumni and citizens of the district. The Foundation provides students with scholarships through funds contributed by individuals, agencies and corporations. The Foundation board of directors has 18 members, two advisors and three honorary directors who represent the Lake Land College district.
