Edith Terwilliger, President Dr. Terwilliger has most recently been employed as the secretary / treasurer and licensed agent of the Terwilliger Insurance Agency for the past 12 years. She is a retired University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC) professor and has served as acting chairwoman of the department of educational psychology, executive director for the Council on Teacher Education and associate dean of the professional programs office in the college of education. Dr. Terwilliger received a bachelor of science degree in commercial teaching, a master of arts degree in educational psychology and a doctorate in educational psychology from UIUC. She served as chair to the local chapter of Counselors to America’s Small Businesses and chairs the Health Center Board at Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center. Dr. Terwilliger is a member of the College of Educational Alumni Association at UIUC, the American Association of University Women, and Business and Professional Women. |

Thomas Wright, Vice President Mr. Wright has been president of Wright Furniture for the past 16 years. He is also a director of Dieterich First National Bank, director of the Effingham County Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Board of Directors of Cross at the Crossroads Foundation. Mr. Wright received an associate’s degree from Lake Land College and a bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing from Eastern Illinois University. He is also president of Grace Lutheran Church, board member of DCDC, as well as chairman of Friends of St. Anthony’s Board, Effingham Community Support Group, Dieterich S.O.S. and Dieterich Ruritan Club and a volunteer fireman in Dieterich for the past 20 years. |

Norma Calvert, Secretary Mrs. Calvert is retired from Marathon Company. She worked in various management positions throughout her 27-year career. Her assignments included accounting, joint venture audit, finance and accounting for production operations, state government affairs and business transformation. During her tenure with Marathon Oil, she lived in Ohio, Texas and Alaska and traveled extensively. She most recently worked for IBM Corporation in the business transformation organization in Chicago before returning to Martinsville. Mrs. Calvert also serves on the Board of Directors for the Martinsville Agricultural Fair Association and is an elder of the Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. |

Preston G. Smith, Past President Mr. Smith is president of The First National Bank where he oversees branches in Mattoon, Greenville, and Mul berry Grove. Mr. Smith is the immediate past chairman of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois, and is a current board member for the Independent Community Bankers of America. He was formerly executive vice president of Central National Bank of Mattoon. He has served as past president of the Mattoon Area YMCA and Mattoon Chamber of Commerce. Ann Bacon Mrs. Bacon of Charleston is retired from Consolidated Communications. She is a former director of the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce, currently a member of Coles Connected, board member of Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center, and member of Call Center Network Group. She is a member of the I.A.L. Pioneer Club. She served as chairperson of the Special Olympics Family Festival in 1989 and has volunteered at the event each year since it began in 1984. She attended Lake Land College and Eastern Illinois University. Mrs. Bacon received the Foundation’s 2001 Crystal Swan Award and the 2005 Lake Land College Distinguished Service Award. |

D. Keith Atteberry, Advisor Mr. Atteberry graduated from Indiana State University School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. Through his affiliation with the Mattoon Chamber of Commerce, he became a charter director / officer of the Mattoon Area Community Foundation. Owner of Atteberry & Associates, an accounting firm based in Mattoon, he has been a member of the Mattoon Rotary Club since 1974, serving two terms as treasurer. He is active with area Audubon groups and various wildlife / conservancy organizations, and is an avid Duplicate Bridge enthusiast having attained the rank of Silver Life Master. |

Debbie Benefiel Mrs. Benefiel is a pharmacy technician at Pearman Pharmacy, Paris. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and a master’s degree from Southern Illinois University–Edwardsville. She serves on the Board of Deacons of the Presbyterian Church in Paris and is a member of the Membership and Evangelism Committee. The past president of the Board of Directors of the Paris Community YMCA, Mrs. Benefiel is currently a member of the Heritage Club, a trustee of the Paris YMCA Special Endowment Trust, and the Board of Directors of the Little Theatre on the Square in Sullivan. |

James A. Bennett, Advisor Mr. Bennett is a partner in the law firm of Ryan, Bennett & Radloff, Mattoon, where he concentrates his practice in estate and business planning and real estate law. He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. Benedict’s College and a J.D. from Catholic University of America Law School. He has served as an estate tax examiner with the Internal Revenue Service and is a former member of the Mattoon City Council. Mr. Bennett is currently the stewardship director at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Mattoon and past president of the Coles–Cumberland Bar Association, and the Board of Directors of the Mattoon YMCA. Pat Monahan, Honorary Director Mr. Monahan is a co-owner of the Thomas Monahan Company where he has worked for the past 21 years. He has also worked in data processing with IBM Corporation in Chicago, computer technology in Chicago and Citizen’s National Bank of Decatur. Mr. Monahan received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s of business administration in marketing from the University of Chicago. Doris Reynolds, Board of Trustees Liaison Mrs. Reynolds serves as the chair of the Lake Land College Board of Trustees and as the trustees’ liaison to the Foundation. A full-time realtor, she is a licensed and accredited sales associate since 1999. She is a lifelong resident of Coles County, and is a member of East Central Illinois Association of Realtors, Illinois Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Elected in 1993 to the Lake Land Board of Trustees, she has served as vice chair, secretary and as a member of the legislative, resource and development, and building and site committees. Mrs. Reynolds is a member of the Illinois Community College Trustees Association where she received the Education Award. She is a charter member of the Mattoon Light Works Committee and served as a board member and chair to CCAR. Mrs. Reynolds retired from Consolidated Communication after working 32 years. She is a graduate of Lake Land College. |
